    Dear Mrs McMillan

    Re Planning Application no: 04/01394/F/N
Site Address: Land at 1 Arbutus Drive, and 26 28 Westbury Lane, Coombe Dingle

I am writing to register my concern and opposition to the above development.

I believe that the proposals will have an adverse effect on the local community and the environment, including:

    • Traffic Increase - the proposal will increase traffic along Westbury Lane and potentially affect the safety of pedestrians and local school children
    • Parking problems - Westbury Lane and surrounding roads are likely be used as a parking overflow, adding to the traffic and safety issues
    • The site design shows little appreciation for the unique area in which we live. The designs of the buildings are inconsistent and the building heights are also substantial - with some 3 storey buildings proposed
    • Impact on the landscape - the proposals include the removal of mature and established trees and hedges - out of character with area such as ours that is situated between 3 conservation areas.

I urge you to strongly consider rejecting this application, and further extending the Kingsweston and Trym Valley conservation area to include the Westbury Lane area.

    Yours sincerely

    Signature ..........................
