Sea Mills & Coombe Dingle Community Project

This site

Introduction

This web site was created 19 April 2001 for the Sea Mills & Coombe Dingle Community Project. It was ported from FreeServe (fsnet) to D-way on 10 April 2005.

It is maintained by Paul Hazelden, and updated as soon as possible after new information is provided. I aim to post updates within a week, apart from the weeks I'm away from Bristol.

The use of graphics on this site is deliberately kept low, to reduce the download times for people with old machines and slow modems. But if you have any suitable clip art or other small images which are public-domain and would be appropriate for some part of the site, please feel free to send them.

Technical

All the html on this site is written by hand, using PFE ('Programmers File Editor'). Common page elements are created or included by the use of PHP scripts.

We are grateful to D-Way for hosting the site. To quote from their publicity:"

"D-way's accounts offer webspace along with pop3 mail access. Our free packages give you PHP, custom CGI support and a mysql database. An online control panel helps you to view and manage your hosting account with ease. Our Beta and Gamma accounts provide more space, databases and webmail."
